Should i wear the veil or not? Should i wear it now or later? or should i wait till i get married? or maybe ill wait for a couple of years! or maybe after pregnancy and delivery!!! you keep pushing it and give yourself excuses not to wear it JUST because you are afraid to look ugly! not in fashion! fat maybe! cant mix and match! people will look at you differently! you wont blend with the rest of the girls!! OR CANT GO TO WEDDINGS :S (that's indeed the most scary part along with the next one..) UN UN UNNN.. THE BEACHHHH.....scary huh!! ;) (evil laugh) not mine :S its the devil (EL Shaytaan) and he'll keep on putting this nonsense in your head until you push for another year and when you're finally there..AGAIN he'll come and stuff you back with those ridiculous ideas..
Woops! I sounded like am lecturing you! BUT am not! as you may have read it in the about me section..(this is not a religious blog) am just here to try and help you, lift you and open your eyes to many things you might have missed (in fashion i mean)
Now.. You want me to be honest with you? or LIE!.. trust me i wont :)
U will look ugly if you wanna look ugly
U will not be in fashion with our without Veil if you didn't keep up with fashion trends
U will get fat either ways ( STOP EATING) and don't blame it on cloths or wearing the veil
U will be able to mix and match and be creative (but not too creative) please! it sometimes go out of control and you can become a clown :S
People will defiantly look at you differently but in a respectful way.. you might not believe! but every time i travel somewhere people gaze at me and sometimes they stop me and ask me how can i match the colors and the veil looking fashionable and still covered... we are talking here (USA, Europe, even in Asia!) and for sure you'll blend with your friends and you might be an idol as well ;)
The serious part is this... Weddings and going to the beach! yes! very difficult and i rejected many times wedding invitations and going to the beach with friends.. Until i found out that i am missing on a lot and closing my eyes on many solutions and clothes that can make me look gorgeously covered and in fashion.. it requires more effort but you can defiantly do it and am here to help you as well... Will help you with some ideas and you can also add your SIMPLE touches (please don't wear too many colors!) the simple you wear the better and decent you look...
In my next VeiLoGGer, ill include some pics of dresses that i believe it'll look stunning with veil (whether it's night gowns, dresses, beach wear, work, or casual)
But please make sure you stay simple, don't wear too many colors, too many accessories and for sure simple makeup.
See you around girls and please share with me your ideas and if you have spotted nice pieces, go ahead and post it and please indicate the country and prices along with the shop name; and you can become my VeiLoGGer Eye where ever you are...
And as i say.. you can only look gorgeous IF YOU WANNA LOOK GORGEOUS!

A comment from a friend i love to hear from her: Well you asked for it :p kidding'!
ReplyDeleteLovely topic indeed, and how ur driving people to simplicity, and that there is a solution for everything and clothes should not be an obstacle for hijab. And how lots of veiled girls are extremely fashionable
But I guess the title can reflect something related to veil fashion or something, also the intro. Because the decision shouldn't be based on fashion and clothing or this as a main part. Lots and lots of other stuff should be taken into consideration if the topic is veil or no veil.
So I just love it but c it as something for veil fashion not veil decision :)
A comment from my school friend Hebatallah: Its very nice dalia begad, and i think u chose a very important issue and u expressed ur self in a simple and friendly manner that makes any girl who reads what u wrote feel like ur talking abt her and expressing exactly what she feels, and i think that we veiled girls have the responsibility of ending this silly idea that when a girl wears the veil she's totally out of fashion and alieanated from the rest of her community,i myself have faced this problem because i'm almost the only one veiled in my family and i was faced specially at the beginning with alot of rejection, but now after years those ppl who were totally against the idea of me wearing the vail are the same ppl who keep asking me how do u get 2 be fashionable and veiled at the same time,so really u did a good job keep it up :)))
ReplyDeleteSara said:I liked it, but i think u should've added that when u're a veiled woman u're going to have a slightly different life style that u'll be really happy with feeling it's for Allah :) thus everything else will be small in ur eyes!
ReplyDeleteyep.. half way writing it i had this feeling but then i realized! who am i kidding! these r the questions u get and doubts a side from its a fard.. and this is y i didnt want to involve the religion part at all... VeiLoGGer is only a gateway for girls who want to get veiled (and this feeling comes) after full 2ektna3 that its fard but they get the usual doubts that even veiled girls get regardless how long they've been wearing it.. its so sad to see many girls now removing even though they know its a fard but for those stupid reasons i highlighted they remove it.. again! am trying to completely stay away from the religious part since to some of us if not all is not a matter of debate. in the next series the idea might be more clearer than that.. this blog is the second step after knowing its a fard but waswaset al shaytan tebtedee fel lebs wel 7agat di.. i dont wana use it to lecture or be da3eya.. i hope one day :) bas am not yet close :S
ReplyDeleteGood start,U choosed a Nice Article,Good luck and keep going On :)))
